Brother of Claude Farnham who returned to Australia on 17 March 1917 having served with the 53rd Battalion,  Vere Farnham who died of wounds on 3 September 1918 while serving with the 3rd Machine Gun Company and Daisy Billing nee Farnham of Smithton, Tasmania
