The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 144 + 270. Prior to the war he was a timekeeper of Bendigo VIC. He enlisted 31st July 1915 aged 23 years. He served with the 6th Infantry Battalion, rising to the rank of Corporal. During his service he was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal and the Military Medal for the service that he provided. Unfortunately, he was Killed In Action 23rd Aug 1918.
