Oddfellow's Ambition Realised.
Bro. G. G. MCDONALD (Taworth).
ELECTED M.U. GRANDMASTER.
From minute secretary of the Loyal Free Friendship Lodge, Tamworth, to Grandmaster of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows, New South Wales, in 31 years is the record of Bro. George Gladstone McDonald, whose installation took place at Sydney last week. In that period Bro. McDonald has never been out of office, and when last year he was elected Deputy-Grandmaster of the Order it was but a step from the goal he had in mind when he was initiated at Tamworth in 1907.
His appointment as Grandmaster was the recompense for a lively enthusiasm and energetic interest and determination which had marked his association with the Order since the date of his initiation. Friday 28 October 1938
