Victor Wood 215 Corprol 9th AMG MC, joined the RSL 26 June 1919 and then transfered to Balaklava 31 March 1929. He served on the executive as president for 1 years, vice president 2 years, and a committee man for 6 years. Mr Wood has disposed of all tonkens for appeals run by sub branch over 20 years and collected over 2,000 pounds. Victor also was a vice president for one term and 3 years as state Councillor. He went on two New zealand ANZAC Delegation trips. Mr Wood is keenly interested in Legacy is a behind the scene benifactor, Xmas and Easter seasons. A keen debator on issues effecting the town community.
He was awarded life Membership certificate and clasp in July 1959
