Grave site lost

His body was buried 500 yards south of the village of Villiers – Bretonneaux. However due to further heavy bombardment in the area after his body was buried, the War Graves unit were unable to recover his remains, and concluded that all traces of the grave were obliterated.
He is remembered with honour on the Villiers-Bretonneaux Memorial and on the Roll of Honour at the Australian War Memorial. Commemorated in perpetuity.
