Francis Sidney Willyama REES was born in Broken Hill, New South Wales in 1889

His parents were Rees Coventry REES & Eliza WELLS who married in St Johns Church of England, Belfast (Port Fairy) Victoria on 21st February, 1874 

He married Eliza HOSSACK on 24th July, 1915 at the residence of the Reverend T. SHANKS in Semaphore, South Australia

He enlisted in Keswick, South Australia on 18th May, 1915 and embarked with the 27th Infantry Battalion, 3rd reinforcements from Adelaide on the RMS Morea on 23rd August, 1915

Francis died of Wounds in France on 3rd June 1918 and is buried in the Outtersteere Communal Cemetery Extension
