SUICIDE IN PERTH
' Perth. May 7
On April 28 Alexander Charles MacLachlan' (39), a scoutmaster was arrested on three serious charges in connection with three boy scouts- The accused was remanded for eight days on the charges, bail being allowed.
This morning MacLachlan's dead body was found in the bathroom at a relative's home, death having been caused by a gunshot. The deceased had apparently placed the barrel of the gun in his mouth and then pulled the trigger with his toe, a piece of wire being found attached to the trigger of a double barrelled gun which was found near the body. A note apparently signed by the deceased, was found which read :— '.Sleep, sleep, I wish you would claim me. I am not guilty of what they say. I have always tried to live a good life, My beloved own believe that. Repair the wrong you have done me I am not alone. I am going to my angel mother.'
