Thomas Joseph was the second eldest son of Thomas & Mary (new Byron) Marshall's 10 children.. Birthplace was possibly at Wellingrove NSW. He was 44 years old when enlisted in the AIF and unmarried. He was the brother of Abraham who is my direct descendant. Thomas Joseph was my father's great uncle.

Thomas' father was also named Thomas who was born in Chudleigh Devon UK in 1847 and died at Rangers Valley Station , Emmaville NSW on 19 August 1910.
