Son of David and Emma Chandler of 81 Princess Street, North Williamstown, Victoria; brother of David George Gregory Chandler who was killed in action on 1 September 1918 while serving with the 21st Battalion and Stephen Albert Chandler who died of wounds on 27th July 1916 while serving with the 8th Battalion
