Mr. Baker was born in 1819 on the 12th of July, he enlisted at the age of 18 in 1915. The service number given was 3010, he was in the 21st Battalion 7th reinforcement.
Before joining he was a gardener, whose religion was the Church of England. Baker was born in Stirling East, South Australia. He returned home to Australia on the 22nd of January 1920. However, he died in a motorcycle collision with a train at the age of 27 (14th of February 1926).
Baker served on the Western front for 5-6 years. He was awarded two medals, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
