DIED ON ACTIVE SERVICE.
ATKINSON.—In loving memory of our dearest son and brother, Corporal John William Atkinson, who died from wounds in France, March 9th, aged 33 years and 6 months.
Somewhere in France there is a sacred spot,
'Tis a grave just newly made;
Our sacrifice is in what we have lost,
His was in what he gave.
