When Cecil Aubrey Gallop was born on 29 January 1897, in Murrumburrah, New South Wales, Australia, his father, Alfred Godden Gallop, was 30 and his mother, Henrietta Mary Rumble, was 29. He married Kathleen Stella Martin on 11 October 1922, in Rockdale, New South Wales, Australia. They were the parents of 2 daughters, June and Barbara. He died on 14 April 1966, in Booker Bay, New South Wales, Australia, at the age of 69, and was buried in North Ryde, New South Wales, Australia.
