Son of James and Elizabeth MCCLUSKEY, Hayes Street, Shepparton, Victoria
McCLUSKY - Died of wounds in France on the 28th February, Private C.A. McCluskey (Charlie), third dearly loved son of James and Elizabeth McCluskey, of Shepparton, aged 25 years.
A hero and a soldier brave,
For home and country his life he gave;
Nor shirked his duty, but did his best,
Till God took our hero to give him rest.
In France's lonely hill side,
Beneath the lonely sod,
There lie our darling Charlie,
Resting in peace with God.
— Inserted by his sorrowing parents, sister and brothers.
