Son of Robert Orr and Mary Ann Orr Stevens formerly Orr nee Draper of Narrogin, WA formerly of Tarlee, SA. 

Brother of George Wood Orr who was kiiled in action on 10 October 1916 while serving with the 28th Battalion and is buried in the Railways Dugout Burial Ground (Transport Farm), Plot V1, Row L, Grave 7.
