Kintore Albany HOBAN was born in Toodyay, Western Australia in 1889
His parents were Patrick HOBAN & Fleda Mary Elizabeth SINCLAIR who married on 30th August, 1887 - after his father died, his mother remarried in WA in 1900 to William Joseph BETTERIDGE
He enlisted in Perth, WA on 19th July, 1915 and embarked on 18th November, 1915 from Adelaide on the HMAT Geelong with the 32nd Infantry Battalion, C Company
He was wounded in action on 22nd November, 1916 with gun shot wounds to his back & left arm and died from those wounds at the 38 Casualty Clearing Station, France on 24th November, 1916
He is buried in Heilly Station Cemetery and his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial
