| 8 Jul 1918: | Honoured Military Medal, Citation reads: Near Villes Bretonneux during the attack on enemy trench on 4.7.18 this man showed splendid fighting qualities and coolness under fire. After consolidation this man reconnoitred 200 yds. in front of our position alone and captured an Enemy machine gun and 13 prisoners who had been firing on our troорs. His action was of the utmost daring and undoubtedly prevented enemy from consolidating on an important feature of the ground forward of our objective. Commonwealth Gazette 23. on 12 February 1919 | |
