Son of Charles Twentyman Sutton and Jane Sutton of 4 Graham Street, Auckland, NZ, later of Blacktown, NSW. Brother of William Sutton who returned to Australia on 28 March 1919 having served with the 26th Battalion, Dockarg Sutton and Clement Sutton
