Military Medal
'At POZIERES, FRANCE, during the period 18th. to 22nd. August 1916, Pte PONT acted as Battalion runner while the Battalion was in the firing line, he took messages continuously under very heavy fire over places where there was practically no shelter, particularly on the 22nd. August during the relief of the Battalion.'
