LT.-COLONEL McLEAN DEAD.
Noted Military Service.
The death occurred in the repatriation ward of the Perth Hospital last Saturday of Lieut.-Colonel Frank McLean, a member of the officers' reserve of the military forces in this State. Lieut-Colonel McLean distinguished himself when he went on active service with the 28th Battalion in 1915. He was mentioned in dispatches and gained the Military Cross. In civil life, Mr. McLean was associated in late years with several motor firms. He was 45 years of age.
LATE LIEUT-COLONEL McLEAN.
Feeling reference was made by the State president of the Returned Soldiers' League (Mr. A. Yeates), at a meeting of the State executive of the League on Wednesday night, to the recent death of the late Lieut.-Colonel Frank McLean. M.C. Mr. Yeates, in moving a vote of condolence with the relatives and an appreciation in the records, said that the late Colonel McLean had always been of material help to the returned men and the league, and had given conspicuous service as an assistant marshal of the Anzac day parade. The motion was carried in silence, all present standing.
