Husband of Emma Linda O'Brien nee Jorgensen of Bartley Crescent, Wayville, SA. Eric and Emma were married on 22 July 1916 in the Methodist Church, Unley, SA.

Commenced return to Australia on 16 December 1917 aboard HS Kanowna disembarking on 13 February 1918 at Melbourne for onward travel to Adelaide
