Mary was the daughter of Joseph Freitag and Mary (Maude) Freitag nee Downing.

On 24.8.1919,Mary married Lieutenant James Morrison, of the Scottish Rifles.

Mary passed away at St.Helen's private hospital on 12.5.1939. Her remains were buried at Sale Public Cemetery.

Note: Surname on enlistment form was "Freetag".
