Died on this date - 16th January........Private Percy Edwin Jorgensen was born around 1892 at Fernbank, Victoria. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 8th September, 1916 as a 25 year old Farmer from Fernbank.

Private Jorgensen arrived in England on 28th December, 1916 for further training before being sent to the War Front. He was sent sick to Fargo Military Hospital, Wiltshire on 16th January, 1917 from 2nd Training Battalion, No. 5 & 6 Camps at Durrington.

Private Percy Edwin Jorgensen died at 11.45 p.m. on 16th January, 1917 at Fargo Military Hospital, Wiltshire from Pneumonia. He was buried in Durrington Cemetery where 140 other WW1 Australian Soldiers are buried.
