the details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published in 2017, refer to pages 267 + 281. Prior to the war he was a cabinet maker of Port Pirie SA. He enlisted 30th Dec 1915 aged 25 years. He served with the 10th Infantry Battalion. He survived the war, departing the UK for home 12th May 1919. He maintained a diary during the war service, and this is held by the Australian War Memorial, reference PR89/144.
