He was 20 and the son of Benjamin George and Elizabeth Sarah Homer, of Station Rd., Indooroopilly, Queensland.
His brother also fell-he was Second Lieutenant Herbert William Homer-aged 23.e was also with the Australian Infantry Medical Corps-died Friday 1 June 1917-interred Brookwood in Surrey, England.
The brothers are honoured on the war memorial in the parish of Kington, Herefordshire.
