Lucy Salmon, nee Rudder, 1868-1936, bore 15 children and raised 16. Of the 16, 3 died as infants. Of the surviving 13, 3 were girls and did not go to war. Of the ten boys who grew to adulthood, five served in WW1.
Albert (Bert) Armitage Salmon (1899-1982) who didn't enlist until 31/7/1918 so never saw active service.
