Son of Joseph William and Eliza Florence Hicks of 117 Plain Street, East Perth, WA.
7 March 1915 - parents signed a letter of consent for Edgar to join the AIF and serve overseas
10 September 1915 - hospital with Tonsilitis and evacuated to England on the 18 September 1915
Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal
Prior to enlisted he had served in the 86th Infantry for 2 years
