Thomas Aloysius AMBROSE was born in Surry Hills, Sydney in 1887
His parents were Thomas AMBROSE & Sarah MACANALLY who married in Sydney in 1887
He enlisted in Sydney on 27th March, 1916 & embarked on the HMAT Ceramic on 7th October, 1916 - he returned to Australia on 24th January 1919 and was discharged as medically unfit on 10th May, 1919
Thomas died on 27th February, 1921 of war related illness and is buried in Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney
