On a Statuatory Declaration dated 2 March 1942 he states that his date of birth was 17 January 1889

Son of Stewart Olsen and Jean Olsen of 'Opossum Vale', Mount Morgan, QLD.

Commenced return to Australia 20 December 1918 aboard HT Orontes disembarking on 1 February 1919 at Sydney for onward travel to Brisbane

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal

In 1936c Donald wrote to Base Records requesting that a new discharge paper to be sent to him at Gympie, QLD under the name of Donald Campbell

In 1942c Donald was a member of the Nanango RSL
