He was the son of William Thomas and Letitia Trehearn, Princess Street, Rhyl, North Wales. Husband of Bessie I. Trehearn, 261, Malvern Road, South Yarra, Victoria, Australia.
He is one of three Australian casualties of the Great War who are honoured on the Rhyl War Memorial. He is also remembered on the family grave in Rhyl Cemetery.
