Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board P+O SS Morea on 20 April 1915
Died June/July 1916 while a Prisoner of War in Turkish Hospital at Nisibin, Asia Minor. Died from neglect of proper treatment after lack of food. He had lost all will to live. Captured when British Garrison at Kut el Amara surrendered 29 April 1916.
Honoured on the Bexley Roll of Honour. Also honoured on Christ Church Bexleyheath War Memorial panels and on the Bexleyheath War Memorial at Steeple Gardens, Oaklands Road, Bexleyheath, Bexley, DA6 7AH, England
