The Late Rev. J. H. MacGoun
The Rev. John Hunter MacGoun, of Old Windsor Road, Rooty Hill, who died in Nepean District Hospital on January 8 at the age of 80 years, was a padre of the 12th Light Horse, 1st A.I.F. He was born in New Zealand and was In India as a missionary. He was minister at Lockhart, Junee, Mittngong, Llndfleld, Tumut, and Campbelltown.
He retired about 22 years ago owing to ill-health.
The funeral took place on Tuesday, February 1, and was well attended. A service was held in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Parramatta, being conducted by the Moderator of the Hawkesbury Presbytery, the Rev. R. S. Mackay.
The address was given by the State Moderator, the Rt. Rev. R.C. Lawton, and the Clerk of the Presbytery, the Rev. J. Bovard,and the Rev. C. E. Bowles, of St. Marys, took part. Cremation took place at the Northern Suburbs Crematorium, where the Rev. R, S. Mackay conducted the service,
