Biography contributed by Stephen Brooks

His brother, 1253 Gnr. Thomas Lloyd, 11th Australian Field Artillery Brigade was killed in action on 22 December 1916, aged 21.

They were the only two sons of Thomas and Rosanna Lloyd, (nee Dolan), of Lanigan St., Rockhampton, Queensland.

Rosanna was a widower at the time and received both of her sons’ effects and medals.
