Son of Oscar William THOMPSON and Charlotte nee WHEATCROFT

LATE PRIVATE W. N. THOMPSON.
Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Thompson, of Ardrossan, have been informed that their eldest son, Pte. William N. Thompson, of the 60th Battalion, died on September 28 of Wounds received in France. The deceased was 25 years of age, and enlisted from Pine Point, Yorke's Peninsula, where he was engaged in farming. He was educated at Dublin and Pine Point State Schools, and was a member of the Muloortie rifle Club. On December 10, 1916, be proceeded to England, and thence after six months training went to  France. He possessed sterling qualities, and was well liked by all who knew him
