Obituary - Mr. Lesley Clare Bleechmore
Obituary - Mr. Leslie Clare Bleechmore.
The news of the death of Mr. Leslie Clare Bleechmore, which was received
in Adelaide on Tuesday by cablegram, will be received with regret among
the large number of his friends.
He was born at Clare on May 21, 1887, and received his early education at the Clare Public School, and later at St. Peter's College, where he represented his school in cricket and tennis.
He enlisted with the Australian Imperial Force, and had four years' service abroad, being promoted to the rank, of lieutenant with the 3rd Field Company of Engineers.
On his return from active service he was successful in an examination, and obtained his cetificate as a licensed surveyor. Last year he secured an important position as surveyor in the Federated Malay States,and left Adelaide for his new sphere of work in November.
