From Adelaide High School Magazine, Easter 1916 p 9
Whilst at the school Eric was Editor for 1914-15, He was captain of the First Cricket
Eleven, and in 1915 was our Head Prefect. He always carried out his duties in such a way as
to secure the esteem and respect of all the staff and students. He is now preparing to fight our
battles across the sea, and we all wish him a speedy and safe return.
