"...1636 Private Timothy Edward Ronan, 32nd Battalion. A farmer of Nabawah, WA, prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 1st Reinforcements from Adelaide on HMAT Geelong (A2) on 18 November 1915. He returned to Australia on 8 May 1919. He also served in the Second World War, enlisting in a Machine Gun Company on 6 January 1941 and was discharged on 23 March 1942." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)

His brother Ernest Francis Ronan of the 51st Battalion AIF was Killed in Action on 10 June 1917
