Son of Charles Alex Ogilvie of Launceston, Tasmania and Evelyn Ethel Ogilvie nee Buckley Stirling Street, Perth, WA.

Commenced return to Australia on 22 February 1917 aboard HS Karoola disembarking on 10 April 1917
