The Life Of Henry Lawrence Dumbrill
A young, brave man at the mere age of 20 (born in 1894) made the significant decision of leaving his everyday job of being a polisher and joining the war. His name was Henry Lawrence Dumbrill. Mr. Dumbrill was born in Grays, England. He moved to Port Adelaide, South Australia, later on his life.
After making his decision of going to war, Mr. Dumbrill went and signed up to join the army. The date he was enlisted in WW1 was the 29th of October 1914. Mr. Dumbrill embarked on the 27th of December 1914 to be a part of the 10th Infantry Battalion. On this very day he was appointed as the Lance Corporal.
