The Embarkation Roll (static.awm.gov.au) incorrectly records Surname spelling as DAVIDSON

"LATE SGT. E. D. DAVISON.

Mrs. E. B. Davison, of Broken Hill, has been advised of the death of her second son, Sgt. Eric Douglas Davison, who was killed in action in France on September 29. Prior to enlisting Davison was employed at the Barrier by Wood, Son, & Co., and also by Globe Timber Mills. He was secretary of the Volunteer Engineers' Rifle Club. His brother, Cpl.
