1923 Private Adolph Williams' next of kin was Mary Williams. He joined 2nd light Horse regiment and was a 24 year old Stockman from Bathurst New South Wales, He may have enlisted for the adventure and embarked for overseas with the 16th Reinforcements from Townsville, Qld on 22 January 1916 aboard HMAT Boonah. He joined the 2nd Light Horse Regiment on 22 September 1916, in Egypt, which was part of the ANZAC Mounted Division. Between January and May 1916, the regiment was deployed to protect the Nile Valley from bands of pro-Turkish Senussi Arabs. Adolph was wounded in action on 15th january 1917 and was admitted to 3rd London Central Hospital suffering from Shell Shock(PTSD). He was also charged for being AWOL for 5 days. He was discharged from ANZAC on 13 march 1920.
