Date unknown: | Honoured Military Medal, 'After being continuously on duty in POLYGON WOOD near Ypres 25th/26th September, 1917 to midday 27th September, 1917 he went out alone under heavy fire, dug out a man who was lying wounded and partly buried, dressed him and got him under shelter.
