Brother of Charles Hussey who returned to Australia on 6 August 1915 having served in the 13th Battalion; Edward Hussey who returned to Australia on 6 December 1917 having served with the 8th Battalion; John Hussey who returned to Australia on 20 February 1919 having served with the 12th Light Trench Mortar Battery

Commenced return to Australia on 28 June 1919 aboard HT Madras disembarking on 3 August 1919
