George Stoneham FOOKS was born in Stanmore, Sydney, New South Wales on 19th August, 1863 although he stated he was 48 when he enlisted in 1915 when he fact he was 52

His parents were George FOOKS & Sarah STONEHAM

He embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Orsova on 10th November, 1915

He returned to Australia on 2nd August, 1919 and was discharged on 27th October, 1919

George died of Illness in Queensland on 18th March, 1921 and is buried in the Richmond Cemetery in Queensland
