Son of Ebenezer Verey and Emily Verey nee Pollard of Ballarat, Victoria. Brother of Eric Norman Verey who returned to Australia on 28 August 1919 having served with the 12th Light Horse Regiment.
Husband of Ida B. Verey of Fitzroy Street, St Kilda, Victoria. Harold and Ida married in Woollahra, NSW during 1907
