Stanley was the second son of George Frederick Walton Robinson and Mary Ann Rogers. Stanley was educated at Samford State School. His father was George F W Robinson, Head teacher, Samford State School. Stanley later became a dairyman in the district. He was killed in action 7 November 1917, aged 24. His brother Frederick Walter Robinson [1215], 11th Light Horse Regiment, returned to Australia, 20 July 1919.
