Son of Charles Edward and Agnes Ellen Traise of 'Myora' Fortesque Street, Spring Hill, QLD. Brother of Alexander Charles Traise who was killed in action on 4 September 1916 while serving with the 49th Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial
