Son of James and Janet ROWE, 38 Robb Street, Essendon, Melbourne

Gunner Eddie Rowe is the sixth  member of the Essendon Harriers to be   killed on service abroad. His death   occurred in France on September 20.   Rowe, who was the only child of Mr   and Mrs James Rowe, of Robb street,   Essendon, was aged 25 years. He ran with the Essendon Club in 1910, 1911 and 1912, going in more for track athletics than cross-country running. He shaped well as a high jumper, and used to cover well over five feet.
