Frederick Mervyn De BOMFORD was born on 3rd December, 1890 at Campania, Tasmania

His parents were Mervyn Charles De BOMFORD and Martha Matilda LUTTRELL who married on 3rd December, 1887 in Hobart, Tasmania

He enlisted in Claremont, Tasmania on 10th February, 1916 and embarked with the 3rd Divisional Ammunition Column, reinforcements 1 from Melbourne on the HMAT Baramba on 27th June, 1916

Frederick returned to Australia on the ship Raranga which left on 8th September, 1919 and arrived back in Australia in October 1919 - he was discharged on 20th December, 1919 due to demobilization

On 24th April, 1923 he married Dulcma Annie PAGE at St George Church in Burnie, Tasmania

He died on 15th July, 1956 at Upper Burnie, Tasmania and is buried in Wivenhoe General Cemetery
