Clarence Frederick QUARRELL was born in Ballarat, Victoria in 1893

His parents were Henry Pearson QUARRELL & Georgina Dove WILLS

He enlisted in Blackboy Hill, Western Australia on 23rd July, 1915 & embarked from Fremantle, WA with the 28th Infantry Battalion, 4th reinforcements on the ship HMAT Horarato on 1st October, 1915

Clarence died from wounds at the 38th Casualty Clearing Station on 17th November, 1916 and is buried in the Heilly Station Cemetery

Medals:  1914-15 Star, British War Medal & Victory Medal

His brother Alexander Percy QUARRELL (SN 2381) was Killed in Action in 1917 and a cousin A. QUARRELL was also Killed in Action (date, service number & christian name unknown)
