Biography

"PTE. E. W. S. THREADGOLD.

Pte. Ernest W. S. Threadgold died of wounds on August 23, in France. He was the second son of Mr. James and Mrs. Ada Threadgold, of Marion, and was the grand son of the late Mr. Charles Threadgold, and the late Mr. John Hall of that district. He was born at Marion on June 3, 1889, and was educated at the Sturt State School. He was a brother of the Court Robin Hood Lodge, and went through all the offices. He was also a trustee. He left South Australia for the front in June last, and served in Egypt and subsequently at the Dardanelles.
